Although we've come across many systems designed to track and support our field technicians, none have been completely intuitive, robust or fluid.
We’ve found existing software systems to be cumbersome, requiring a great deal of time to set up, plus on-going technical support.
There was always a lag in communications between those in the field and those at head office, with no ability to link the two. This would result in additional time at the end of the day for the technicians, and usually a delay in getting the data back to head office in a timely manner.
The team at In2 Fire sat down and discussed the challenges that our firm was experiencing. Their product line was robust, and addressed the issues we were up against. They were the only firm that actually listened to what we needed, and were able to clear up lingering problems of the past.
Within a very short time period, our technicians were commenting on the ease of the new platform. Our office managers began to receive real-time reports, which allowed our clients to be informed virtually as soon as the technician left their site.
We can’t say enough good things about In2 Fire technology and their entire team.

WE THOUGHT WE HAD EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL. WITH SITE STAFF IN PLACE LOOKING AFTER THE BUILDING AND A THIRD PARTY FIRE PROTECTION COMPANY ATTENDING TO REQUIRED TESTING, WHAT WAS THERE TO WORRY ABOUT?
With a recent inspection by the local fire prevention officer, we couldn’t have imagined how wrong we were.
Old antiquated red fire log books were lacking in oversight, and when the inspector had concluded his inspection, countless errors and omissions were discovered, spanning two years.
We had assumed, mistakingly, that the fire protection company we had hired, would have educated us on what we were required to complete in order to be compliant with the Fire Code and our own Fire Safety Plan.
Not only were we not completing daily fire panel checks, but we had failed to test all the doors within the property each month, to ensure they self closed and self latched.
We looked at traditional tracking systems, and realized very quickly that without some level of automation that we would likely be back to a situation of non-compliance.
The integration of sku stickers and the power of the iPhone has made daily, weekly and monthly tasks a breeze to compete. Additionally, our area manager is emailed daily with any outstanding tasks so they can contact the building, in real time, to get to the bottom of the issue. The team at In2Fire were very helpful in getting us set up and supporting the process.

with no on-site staff at our smaller sites and our industrial buildings, we needed a solution that was cost effective.
The regularly scheduled events related to fire protection and testing were being completed by our local fire protection company, however, we were informed that the daily testing of our fire panel was a requirement of the Fire Code. Sending someone to our sites, which are spread across southern Ontario was going to be an expense that we just couldn’t afford.
The team at In2Fire introduced us to a new piece of technology that had recently received compliance with the local fire prevention departments as an alternative compliance method to checking the fire panel. A camera was installed in front of the panel, and sent a picture of the panel to their cloud based system each day. The panel picture was then checked and verified, and this tasked was catelogued within their reporting system.
In fact, they now offer a service to complete the checking of the panel for us, each day, at a cost of $1.00/day/site.
We are very pleased to have found this product.
